In May 2007, Brian was promoted to Chief of Staff for Senator Elizabeth Dole. He managed a team of 45 staff members across five offices, played a crucial role in legislative agenda planning, and represented the senator in important meetings. This role further highlighted his leadership qualities and ability to manage extensive and complex operations.
Transition to the Private Sector
Shifting towards the private sector, Brian joined Strategic Perception in February 2009 as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Working in Washington DC and Charlotte, NC, he advised corporate clients on public policy, crafted communication scripts, and managed crisis communications. His outstanding work earned him recognition as a “Rising Star” by Politics Magazine in 2009.
Tenure at Walmart
Brian's career took a notable turn when he joined Walmart. He held the titles of Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, and Director of National Media Relations. During his tenure from May 2014 to October 2016, Brian was responsible for media relations, public affairs, and crisis communications, serving as a spokesperson for the retail giant.
Role at Coca-Cola Consolidated
In October 2016, Brian transitioned to Coca-Cola Consolidated as Vice President of Communications. He held this position until July 2021, further solidifying his expertise in managing corporate communications for large, well-known brands.
Current Position at Fox Corporation
