Dimitra Manis is a highly accomplished corporate leader with a rich background in human resources and strategic management. Her educational journey began at Monash University, where she majored in Business/Commerce and earned an undergraduate degree in 1992. She later pursued a postgraduate degree in Human Resources from Deakin University, completing it in 1995. Dimitra further honed her leadership skills through advanced learning at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where she finished the Human Resources Executive Program in 1997. To solidify her business acumen, she obtained a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Mt Eliza Business School in 2002. In 2017, Monash University honored her as a Monash Fellow of the University.
Career Path
Dimitra's career path is notable for its diverse and high-impact roles across several leading organizations. She started her professional journey with ANZ Banking Group, serving in various business and human resources roles from 1988 to 1993. She then took on the role of Director and Head of Human Resources for Australasia at Nortel Australia PTY LTD, where she worked until 1996. Nike was her next stop, where she led the Human Resources division for the Australasia region from 1996 to 2001. Dimitra continued to climb the corporate ladder, becoming the Head of Human Resources, International at Village Roadshow in 2002.
Her international career expanded further when she joined AXA, first serving as SVP, Global Talent Management in Paris, and later as Head of HR and Communications for the Asia Pacific region. After leaving AXA in 2009, Dimitra moved to Thomson Reuters, taking on multiple senior roles including SVP, Global Head of People and SVP, Global Head of Talent, until 2013. She then joined Openlink Financial as Chief Human Resources Officer for a year before moving on to The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., where she served as Senior Vice President, Global Talent until 2017. She briefly worked at Revlon as Chief Human Resources Officer from 2017 to 2018.
Since May 2018, Dimitra has been with S&P Global. She initially took on the role of EVP and Chief People Officer and was later promoted to EVP and Chief Purpose Officer in July 2021. In this capacity, she oversees People, Marketing, Corporate Responsibility, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and Communications functions globally. Dimitra is also an active board member at S&P Dow Jones Indices and the S&P Global Foundation, as well as British American Business, where she chairs the Nominating and Compensation Committee.

Throughout her career, Dimitra has received numerous commendations from colleagues and industry peers. Her skills span strategy, M&A, crisis management, organizational effectiveness, and talent management. Dimitra's leadership has been instrumental in driving change and fostering a culture of inclusivity and corporate responsibility in every organization she has been part of.
Academic Contributions
In addition to her professional achievements, Dimitra has engaged in academic teaching and guest speaking roles at prestigious institutions such as Columbia University, New York University’s Stern School of Business, Cornell University, and Monash University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing and Communications at Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
