Glenn Richter is a seasoned financial executive with nearly 30 years of experience in managing and directing corporate finance strategies. His career is marked by significant roles at several major corporations, showcasing his expertise in financial reporting, corporate finance, project management, and strategic planning.

 

Educational Background
 

Glenn’s educational journey began at The George Washington University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). He then pursued higher education at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA). These academic achievements laid a strong foundation for his expansive career in finance.

 

Professional Career
 

Glenn’s professional career started at McKinsey & Company as an associate, where he developed a keen sense for strategic planning and business operations. He then moved to PepsiCo Frito-Lay, holding various finance positions including Group Vice President of Finance and Director of Strategic Planning. During his time at PepsiCo, he gained valuable experience in financial reporting and operational management.

In 1997, Glenn took on a leadership role at Dade Behring Inc as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Following this, he joined Sears, Roebuck and Co., where he served in multiple senior roles, including Vice President of Corporate Controller, Senior Vice President of Finance, and eventually Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His tenure at Sears established him as a capable leader in handling complex financial transformations.

Glenn’s career continued to advance as he became the Chairman of the Board at Sears Canada, followed by his role as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at RR Donnelley & Sons. In these positions, he further honed his skills in corporate finance and strategic management.

In May 2006, Glenn joined Nuveen as the Chief Operating Officer. His success there led him to TIAA, where he held multiple senior executive roles, including Chief Operating Officer of TIAA Asset Management (Nuveen), Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities at TIAA included overseeing comprehensive financial operations and driving the company’s strategic initiatives.

 

Current Position
 

Glenn’s current position is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a role he has held since September 2021. At IFF, he continues to apply his vast experience in finance and corporate leadership to oversee financial strategies and support the company’s growth.

 

Board Membership
 

Additionally, Glenn serves as a board member at CUNA Mutual Group since April 2023, contributing his expertise to guide the company’s financial decisions and strategic plans.
