Educational Background
Jim Quigley has built a remarkable career with significant achievements in both corporate and educational sectors. His journey begins with a solid educational foundation, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah State University. He further distinguished himself by receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Business from the same university and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Commercial Science from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Career at Deloitte
Jim's career took off at Deloitte, where he dedicated 38 years, steadily progressing through various leadership roles. Noteworthy among these roles were his tenures as CEO of Deloitte Touche & Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL) from 2007 to 2011 and as CEO of Deloitte U.S. from 2003 to 2007. His exceptional leadership and service to multinational clients established his reputation in the industry. He retired as a Senior Partner from Deloitte U.S. in June 2012 and has held the title of CEO Emeritus since then.
Corporate Leadership Roles
In addition to his work at Deloitte, Jim has held several key positions in notable organizations.
- Currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at Hess Corporation, a role he has filled since January 2013.
- From 2013 to 2020, he was a Board Member at Wells Fargo, also chairing the Audit Committee from 2014 to 2020.
- Served on the Board of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals until February 2020.
Educational Leadership
Beyond his corporate commitments, Jim has shown a strong dedication to education and leadership development. In July 2020, he founded the School Leadership Alliance, a non-profit organization focused on empowering K-12 school leaders by providing executive leadership training and vital resources. This initiative aims to improve the education system by supporting superintendents and enhancing leadership within school districts.
