In this position, she oversees multiple critical committees including the Audit Committee, Executive and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees, and Enterprise Risk Oversight Committee.

In addition to her role at Amalgamated Financial Corp, JoAnn serves as an Independent Trustee and Audit Chair for Datum One Series Trust, linked to Northern Trust Corporation. This role involves guiding and overseeing the audit processes of a mutual fund series trust in the Chicago area.

Earlier in her career, she was involved with mutual funds, acting as Chairman of the Board at Lou Holland Trust Mutual Fund, and she managed financial operations as Chief Financial Officer at DSC LOGISTICS, INC., dealing with Fortune 500 clients and overseeing IT and real estate functions. She also spent a significant part of her career at ABN AMRO in various high-level positions, eventually becoming the Executive Vice President in the Office of the Chairman and EVP & CFO of the Wholesale Bank.
