She has been a board member at Principal Financial Group since January 2001, where she chairs the Human Resource and Compensation Chair and is part of the Nominating and Governance Committee. In January 2005, she added another role as a board member for the Interpublic Group (IPG), leading the Nominating and Governance Committee and serving on the Audit Committee.
Her expertise has also benefitted Arlo Technologies, Inc., where she has been a board member since August 2018, chairing the Compensation Committee and joining the Audit Committee. Previously, she served on the NETGEAR board from January 2009 to August 2018, contributing significantly to the company's strategy and governance.

At Motorola, Inc., she held the position of Corporate Vice President - Chief Marketing Officer, managing marketing for a $30 billion business and serving as a general manager for networks in Los Angeles and EMEA regions. Earlier in her career, she was Vice President of Marketing and Product Development at Mattel, Inc., where she led the Barbie product line to record sales and profits.

Her academic credentials are equally robust. Carter-Miller earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois. She also passed the Certified Public Accountant exam.

Adding to her accolades, she serves on various non-profit boards, including the NACD National Board and the Broward Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
