He then moved to Merrill Lynch as a Research Associate focusing on risk management systems and performance analysis. His career progressed as he joined EY in 1996, serving as a Senior Manager in the Risk Management and Regulatory Practice, where he assisted clients in establishing risk management infrastructures and achieving regulatory compliance.
Transition to Hess Corporation
In 2001, Jonathan transitioned to Hess Corporation. Over the next two decades, he held various pivotal roles including Vice President, Chief Risk Officer, and Vice President of Financial Strategy and Chief Risk Officer. His tenure at Hess Corporation was marked by significant achievements such as leading the $340 million IPO of Hess Midstream in April 2017 and playing a crucial role in a $6.2 billion merger in 2019. These efforts earned him recognition as the #1 CFO for Small Cap Energy Companies by buy-side investors and sell-side research in the 2022 Institutional Investor All-America Executive Team rankings.
