Academic Background
Julie began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. She furthered her education by earning a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University. These academic credentials laid a solid foundation for her career in human resources, providing her with in-depth knowledge and expertise in employee behavior, organizational development, and talent management.
Early Career at PepsiCo
Her professional career commenced at PepsiCo, where she worked her way up through various roles starting as a Consultant in Organizational and Management Development. Over six years, she held several positions including Manager and Sr. Manager of Human Resources, and eventually became Director of Leadership Development. These roles honed her skills in leadership development, succession planning, and organizational design.
Transition to Avon
In 2009, Julie transitioned to Avon where she took on the role of Executive Director of Human Resources in New York. Her exceptional performance led to her promotion to VP positions in HR for the Asia Pacific region in Manila and later in Global Talent Management back in New York.
