This role seamlessly transitioned him to Head of Business Development for Wealth Management, a position in which he led initiatives to enhance the skills and effectiveness of financial advisors and sales teams from June 2011 to September 2014.

 

Global Chief Marketing Officer

His career trajectory took a significant turn when he became the Global Chief Marketing Officer in September 2014. In this role, Mandell was tasked with defining and delivering Morgan Stanley’s marketing strategy, building the company's brand globally until June 2017. This period marked his entry into broader organizational leadership at Morgan Stanley.

 

Head of Private Wealth Management

Mandell's next step was becoming the Head of Private Wealth Management in June 2017, managing services for ultra-high-net-worth clients and overseeing the Institutional Client Coverage group. Through February 2021, he ensured the division met the complex needs of its affluent clientele.

 

Chief Human Resources Officer

In February 2021, Mandell ascended to his current role as Chief Human Resources Officer. He now focuses on advancing Morgan Stanley’s human capital strategy, where he plays a critical role in attracting and retaining a diverse and high-performing workforce. He is also committed to fostering an inclusive culture that promotes employee well-being and professional growth.

 

Educational Background

Mandell’s educational background reinforces his executive prowess. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University, obtained between January 1993 and January 1998. He further enhanced his credentials with a Master of Business Administration in Management from Fordham Gabelli School of Business, completed between January 2007 and January 2009.
