Mark's career kicked off at Citi in New York, where he served as an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group Investment Banking division. During his tenure from June 2009 to September 2010, he advised clients in the asset management and financial technology sectors on mergers, acquisitions, and capital market transactions. This early experience provided him with a solid grounding in financial analysis and corporate finance.

BlackRock Experience

He then moved on to BlackRock, where he worked as a Vice President from October 2010 to March 2017. During these years, Mark held various roles in finance, business development, and M&A across New York and Hong Kong. He was notably engaged in launching BlackRock's onshore China business and leading the Asia-Pacific Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In April 2017, Mark joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management in New York as an Executive Director of Strategy & Business Development. He was instrumental in developing an inorganic outreach strategy, which included sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic investments and partnerships.

Greystar

Mark's next career move took him to Greystar in New York, where he served as Managing Director of Portfolio Management from July 2018 to March 2022. He managed two real estate private equity open-end funds worth a combined $9 billion. His responsibilities included optimizing portfolio performance, fundraising, and overall portfolio composition, showcasing his expertise in asset management and equity research.

Apollo Global Management

Currently, Mark serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Asia-Pacific region at Apollo Global Management, Inc., based in Singapore. Since March 2022, he has been part of a high-growth, global alternative asset manager. Apollo Global Management specializes in providing innovative capital solutions across investment grade, private equity, and retirement savings products.
