Professional Journey

Matteo's professional journey is a testament to his versatility and competence. He began his career at Nestlé, where he played various roles over several years. These roles included Treasurer, Managing Director of Nestlé Finanziaria Italia Spa, Deputy Group Treasurer in Switzerland, and Head of Acquisition and Business Development. Matteo's responsibilities at Nestlé also extended to overseeing internal audit activities for Nestlé Italiana Spa. His time at Nestlé, spanning from 1998 to 2004, equipped him with a solid grounding in financial management and corporate governance.

Role at De Nora

In 2004, Matteo took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at De Nora in Milan, Italy. For nearly two decades, he managed critical functions such as administration, finance, control, ICT, the legal department, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Leading a global team of 100 individuals, Matteo's tenure at De Nora was marked by significant growth and operational excellence.

Transformational Leadership

Matteo's ability to drive transformational change became evident when he transformed a local family business into a highly profitable multinational company during his career. Matteo's entrepreneurial drive led him to establish EKON CAPITAL in May 2023, where he serves as the Founder and Managing Partner. EKON CAPITAL is an investment company that supports small to mid-cap private companies in their expansion and value creation efforts. The firm provides equity for majority and minority stakes through club deals with professional investors.
