She began her professional journey at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in September 1982, where she served as a Managing Director until February 1999. This role marked the beginning of her extensive experience in the financial sector.
Stone Point Capital
After leaving JPMorgan Chase & Co., Meryl joined Stone Point Capital. She took on the critical role of Chief Investment Officer from February 1999 to November 2015. During her tenure, she played a significant role in driving the firm's investment strategies and decisions.
Board Memberships
Meryl’s expertise and reputation in the industry led her to serve on the boards of several prominent companies. She joined Vanbridge LLC as a board member in December 2015, a position she held until September 2017. Subsequently, she became a board member at The Navigators Group, Inc. from November 2016 to May 2019, contributing to the company's governance and strategic direction.
In July 2018, Meryl started serving as a board member for Greenhill & Co., a firm that later became part of Mizhuo and ceased to be publicly listed. During her five-year tenure until November 2023, she witnessed and contributed to significant changes within the company.
Meryl’s current engagements include her board membership at Conning, which began in December 2017, and at Octagon Credit Investors since January 2018.
