Educational Background
 

Michel began his educational journey at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, where he earned a Masters in Software Engineering between 1988 and 1993. He later pursued a Masters in International Finance from HEC Paris, completing his studies there in 1995. Additionally, he attended the Berghs School of Communication for a course in Digital Communication in January 2016, focusing on how digital tools are transforming corporate marketing and communication.

 
Professional Experience
 

Michel's professional career includes noteworthy roles at several prestigious companies. Currently, he serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Interparfums, Inc., based in New York, a position he has held since September 2022. In this role, he leads the financial operations and strategy for a globally recognized fragrance manufacturer.

Before joining Interparfums, Michel was the Vice President of Finance and Strategy at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. from September 2018 to August 2022. There, he managed financial strategy and oversight for one of the world's top manufacturers of skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products. Prior to this, he took on the role of a consultant and investor while self-employed in the Geneva Area, Switzerland, focusing on M&A consulting and angel investing in small-cap companies.

Michel's career also includes a long tenure at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he held multiple roles across various locations. These roles included Group CFO of Global Prestige Fragrances in Geneva, Switzerland, CFO Global Markets for Prestige Fragrances, and several strategic financial and leadership positions spanning areas such as strategic planning, licensing and acquisition, and customer team finance.

Throughout his career, Michel has demonstrated substantial skills in business planning, mergers and acquisitions, cross-functional team leadership, strategy, forecasting, and financial analysis. His achievements, coupled with his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification earned in June 2018, underscore his financial acumen and leadership qualities.
