In this role, he provided legal counsel focusing on corporate, private equity, technology, and software groups, handling Regulation D offerings ranging from $5M to $35M.
He then joined CNL Financial Group as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, serving from January 2007 to January 2013. During his tenure, he led compliance, operations, due diligence, and legal departments. Notably, CNL raised over $6 billion while he was at the helm.
Key Roles and Achievements
- In January 2011, Nathan took on the role of Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at KKR & Co. Inc. (NYSE: CCT), where he managed legal affairs and compliance for Corporate Capital Trust. He played a crucial part in overseeing the organization from its inception to managing $1.3 billion in assets.
- Nathan founded DDWizard, a financial software company, in January 2011. The company developed cloud-based software for underwriting, due diligence, and compliance analysis, which was later sold to VEREIT (NYSE: VER) in October 2014.
- Since January 2014, Nathan has been a member of the Board of Directors at Apollo Global Management, Inc., contributing as a founding board member of Apollo's Diversified Real Estate Fund (NASDAQ: GIREX), which has raised over $7 billion in investor capital.
