Early Career
Nicola's professional journey began at Prometeia in the Bologna Area, where he worked as a System Engineer and Software Developer from September 2002 to March 2006. He then moved to YOOX, where he served as a Senior Software Developer and later as Yoox Services Development Manager & Product Development from March 2006 to July 2009. In this role, he focused on B2B e-commerce solutions for fashion companies.

Entrepreneurship
In 2008, he co-founded Antica Locanda La Canonica in Zocca, Modena, Italy. At this Italian inn, he managed the wine cellar, marketing, and various organizational tasks until December 2011. Simultaneously, from July 2009 to July 2011, Nicola ran his sole proprietorship, njvitto, offering consultancy services in IT, Product Management, and Business Development.

Nicola's entrepreneurial spirit shone through at Blomming, a company he co-founded in October 2010, where he served in multiple roles including CTO and VP Product until September 2018. Under his leadership, Blomming grew to support approximately 30,000 merchants. His tenure at Blomming overlapped with his stint at Ubiquity - trust forward, where he worked as VP Marketing from December 2014 to July 2016, leading the Marketing team and international go-to-market strategies.

Leadership Roles
Nicola then joined ShopFully International Group in Milan, Italy, holding positions such as Head of Product, Chief Technology Officer, and Business Line Director, Marketplace, from July 2016 to January 2020. He was responsible for driving product and technology roadmaps for local shopping platforms.

In January 2020, he transitioned to Kaleyra, taking on roles as Chief Product Officer and later as EVP, Chief Product & Technology Officer until September 2023. At Kaleyra, he directed the Engineering team, focusing on the company's tech strategic roadmap and growth initiatives.

Presently, Nicola is the Executive Director of Neta at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa in Milan. Since September 2023, he has been overseeing the Neta Software Product Business Unit, focusing on developing the “meter-to-cash” software into a SaaS cloud-native solution.
