Early Career
Starting his professional journey at RH Macy’s as a Personnel Manager from 1985 to 1990, Raúl gained early experience in people management. He then moved to Frito Lay, where he served as the HR Manager for the Mid Atlantic Area from 1990 to 1996. These roles helped Raúl develop a deep understanding of HR functions at the ground level.
Global Roles at Covance
Raúl’s career took a global turn when he joined Covance in 1999. Over the next decade, he held several leadership roles: Vice President of HR for Global Clinical Development Services, VP of Global Recruitment & Talent Services, and VP of Global Rewards & Talent Acquisition. In these roles, he was responsible for major HR functions, including global talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits, showcasing his ability to manage complex HR operations on a global scale.
Leadership at Comcast
In 2011, Raúl joined Comcast as Vice President of Talent Acquisition for the cable division, where he oversaw talent acquisition operations and strategies. He was later promoted to Vice President of Human Resources for Strategic Development, a position he held until 2016. His tenure at Comcast further solidified his reputation as an expert in strategic HR management.
Impact at Coty Inc.
Raúl’s next significant role was at Coty Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources from 2016 to 2018. There, he was instrumental in creating and executing the company’s people strategy, supporting what was noted as the largest merger in the industry at the time.
Current Role at ABM Industries
In 2019, Raúl joined ABM Industries, first as Senior Vice President and later as Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, a role he currently holds. At ABM, he leads global HR operations, communications, and corporate citizenship initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and philanthropy.
