Current Role
 

Richard's career path in finance is extensive and distinguished. He currently serves as the Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Sterling, a global provider of background and identity services. Based in Miami, Florida, he took on this role in June 2024, bringing his extensive experience in financial leadership to the company.

 
Previous Experience
 

Prior to his current assignment, Richard was with Assurant, a global provider of risk management products and services. He held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO from July 2016 to November 2023. During his tenure, he also served as the Treasurer from July 2016 to November 2018. His responsibilities at Assurant included leading the finance team, managing corporate finance, and providing financial leadership across the organization.

From August 2013 to July 2016, Richard was the CFO at QBE North America, located in the Greater New York City Area. In this role, he oversaw various departments, including Accounting, Actuarial, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, and Treasury.
