His responsibilities in these roles included overseeing the global launch of biopharmaceuticals, ensuring operational excellence, and managing business development efforts.
• In subsequent years, Roman joined Intercell AG, where he served in multiple senior leadership roles such as VP Quality & Regulatory, COO-US, and SVP Tech Ops. His tenure at Intercell AG was highlighted by his involvement in the global launch of biopharmaceuticals and multi-site team management.
• Roman's expertise further expanded during his time at Baxter/Baxalta/Shire, where he held various senior positions including VP Process Development & Technical Services, SVP Process Development & Technical Services, and General Manager. Notably, he demonstrated skills in change management, global biopharmaceutical launches, and strategic development and leadership across multiple sites.
• In 2019, Roman transitioned to Takeda as Chief Strategist, focusing on innovation management. He then moved to HOOKIPA Pharma Inc., where he has held multiple influential positions, starting as Chief Technology Officer and eventually rising to Chief Development Officer, General Manager, and currently Chief Operating Officer. His roles at HOOKIPA Pharma have involved leading efforts in digital transformation, operational excellence, gene and cell therapies, and quality management, confirming his ability to translate company strategies and market needs into actionable goals.
