At Lehman Brothers, he led the North America facility services group, managing a four million square foot real estate portfolio involving leasing, development, property sales, construction, and property management.

In this role, he managed the largest region of the company, overseeing various service lines that included janitorial, facilities, security, landscaping, and parking, with annual revenues exceeding $5 billion. In March 2015, Salmirs was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of ABM Industries.
