Simon's career took off at Proximity London as an Account Director, where he managed the Emirates Airline account. During his tenure from 2001 to 2004, he was instrumental in setting up and expanding regional offices and made Proximity the leading digital agency network in the region. In 2004, Simon relocated to Singapore to serve as the Regional Managing Director for BBDO/Proximity Asia Pacific. He was responsible for developing offices in key Asian markets and growing Proximity into a significant digital agency. His clients during this period included Citibank, Visa, and Mercedes. This role laid the foundation for his future positions, focusing heavily on business development and strategic client engagement.

By December 2008, Simon took on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Proximity Worldwide. His responsibilities involved driving innovation and business development strategies across the network. His success led him to a similar role at BBDO Worldwide in April 2011, where he continued to foster innovation and thought leadership.

Since September 2015, Simon has been the Chief Growth Officer at IPG. In this pivotal role, he champions the company's 'open architecture' approach, harnessing the collective talent of IPG's 50,000 employees to create bespoke solutions for major clients like Exxon Mobil, Unilever, and Amazon.
