He began his professional journey as a Financial Analyst at Dean Witter Reynolds Inc., where he worked from August 1994 to August 1997. GE Capital Experience
 
In August 1999, Steve joined GE Capital as an Associate, eventually rising to the position of Vice President. During his tenure at GE Capital, he worked in the company’s Stamford, CT, and Norwalk, CT offices, gaining valuable experience in managing complex financial transactions and business strategy until March 2005.

 
D.B. Zwirn & Co. Tenure
 
Steve then moved to D.B. Zwirn & Co. in March 2005, where he served as Vice President until May 2009. His role there involved overseeing significant financial operations and contributing to the firm’s growth and stability. Following this, he joined Fortress Investment Group in June 2009, taking on the role of Managing Director. His leadership and expertise helped steer the firm’s investment strategies until March 2015.

 
Annaly Capital Management
 
In April 2015, Steve's career entered probably its most defining phase when he joined Annaly Capital Management, a leader in mortgage finance and capital management. Starting as a Managing Director, his impactful contributions led to his promotion to Chief Operating Officer in July 2020. His strategic vision and operational leadership were further recognized when he was appointed President & Chief Operating Officer in December 2022, a role he currently holds.
