Tania Secor is a distinguished finance professional whose career reflects significant accomplishments and a vast range of expertise in various financial leadership roles. Her journey began with a solid educational foundation. Tania attended Columbia University from 1990 to 1994, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time at Columbia, she not only excelled academically but also demonstrated leadership and team spirit as the captain of the Women's Varsity Soccer team.
Continuing her academic pursuits, Tania attended Columbia Business School from 1999 to 2001, earning an MBA. She excelled in her studies and was honored with membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, a prestigious academic achievement. This robust educational background laid the groundwork for her successful career in finance.
Early Career
Tania's career path began at J.P. Morgan, where she worked from 1994 to 1997 as an Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions. She then moved on to Weiss, Peck & Greer Private Equity Group, taking on the role of Vice President from 1997 to 2003. Here, she managed private equity funds and advised portfolio companies on growth initiatives.
Financial Leadership Roles
In 2003, Tania joined The McGraw-Hill Companies and held various financial leadership positions until 2009. Her roles included serving as CFO for BusinessWeek and as Senior Director of Finance for the Information & Media Segment. She further broadened her experience by serving as the CFO - Digital & Print Media at Bloomberg from 2009 to 2011.
Tania's career continued to ascend with her role as CFO at Gerson Lehrman Group from 2011 to 2013, where she contributed to the company's tech-enabled professional services offerings. Following this, she joined Dataminr, Inc. as CFO, holding the position from 2013 to 2015, and then moved to Medidata Solutions as SVP of Finance until 2016.
Recent Roles
Her more recent roles have been particularly focused on global financial leadership. From 2017 to 2020, Tania served as an advisory board member for Rocketrip. She then took on the role of Global CFO at Reprise from 2018 to 2021 and subsequently at R/GA from 2021 to 2022, both part of the Interpublic Group (IPG).
Current Position
Currently, Tania serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Integral Ad Science, a leading global media measurement and optimization platform, starting in December 2022. Her career is a testament to her skills in financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, business intelligence, and strategy, making her a valuable asset to the companies she has worked with. Her commitment to ethical standards and a team-based approach has consistently driven revenue growth and profitability across start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations.
