Alon Konchitsky
Alon Konchitsky is a renowned technology leader and AI expert currently serving as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Imagry. In this pioneering role, he is spearheading the development of groundbreaking AI, hardware and software solutions for the world's first Software Defined Vehicle and Mapless Autonomous Driving system.
Alon oversees AI perception, Object Detection AI, Deep Neural Networks (DNN/CNN), Machine Learning infrastructure, MLOps, Big Data workloads on GPU/CPU, and rigorous testing. He provides strategic direction, nurtures AI/ML communities of practice, and educates teams on methods, best practices, and emerging trends in generative AI such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Transformers.
Prior to joining Imagry, Alon held leadership roles at several technology giants. As Head of the AI Center of Excellence (COE) at Intel/SK Hynix, he strategized AI roadmaps, architectures and guided cross-functional teams for product, engineering and marketing. Earlier, as Director of AI Engineering at UCSF, he drove digital transformation leveraging LLMs such as GPT to distill insights and build AI-powered recommender systems from complex datasets.
Alon has made significant contributions across AI/ML domains including natural language processing (NLP), computer vision (CV), automatic speech recognition (ASR), generative adversarial networks (GANs), data science, and big data analytics. He co-founded a cloud SaaS platform using ML for patent analytics and was an innovation consultant at Apple focused on audio, voice recognition and acoustics.
A prolific inventor, Alon holds numerous patents across his areas of expertise. He has published extensively and is a sought-after speaker at global AI/ML conferences and industry events. Alon earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Bournemouth University and has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
